Clarified: AIIMS resumes OPD administrations — what is the new procedure?
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi Thursday continued its Out Patient Department (OPD) administrations for follow-up patients — at first for not in excess of 15 patients per day in every division.
The organization had closed down physical interview for OPD patients in March and has since been offering teleconsultation. We investigate what has changed since the establishment is continuing OPD activities, which on a normal saw 15,000 patients in a day.
In the midst of the rising instances of Covid-19, AIIMS on March 18 sent a warning to OPD patients on their enrolled telephone numbers mentioning them to defer their arrangements. From March 20, the emergency clinic diminished elective medical procedures, and a screening region was arrangement for patients with indications of respiratory tract diseases. Since March 24, all OPD administrations for new and catch up enlistments were ended in an offer to redirect the social insurance laborers for Covid-19 administration.
