“As i discussed , Prime Minister has made a clarion involve reformed multilateralism. The established order of the multilateral system is what some countries would really like to revert to and reinforce. This doesn't reflect current realities. it's also not within the interest of developing countries, which have started playing a serious role within the United Nations and out of doors , but, whose voices haven't found traction in these multilateral bodies. Consequently, there's a requirement to travel beyond 1940s multilateral architecture and supply for greater representation, starting with the UN Security Council . In other words, the multilateral architecture must get contemporary and reflect reality to be relevant”, he had said.

Since India was endorsed by the APG, the Indian mission in ny worked tirelessly to make sure that India’s win was a smooth one. The campaign started from the time of endorsement.

Sources told India Today TV that the mission reached out individually to all or any countries at multiple levels.

. Each nodal officer reached out at his/her level to the bunch of nations assigned to them, keeping them au courant all the developments and getting feelers of what they're thinking.

The minimum requirement for a seat within the group of 10 may be a 2/3rd majority of the members present at the time of voting.
