Pakistan violates ceasefire in Kashmir's Kupwara district, heavy shelling reported

The Pakistan Army on Thursday afternoon violated the ceasefire along the road of Control (LoC) in Machil sector of North Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Defence spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said that Pakistan Army initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC in Machil Sector by firing mortars and other weapons.

Heavy shelling was underway from each side at the time of filing this report. However, there was no immediate report of any causality on either side.
