Chinese firms to lose India business in Railways, telecom

As tensions run high after the violent clash in Ladakh that left 20 Indian soldiers dead, a primary set of actions are initiated against Chinese businesses within the country.
A Chinese engineering major is about to lose a big contract with the Indian Railways, and therefore the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has conveyed to state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to not use Chinese-made equipment in its upgradation, top sources in both sectors said on Thursday.
