The royal residence building, found near the noteworthy Charminar, was built during the 1750s by Nizam Salabat Jung, the fourth Nizam of Hyderabad.

G Kishan Rao, executive of Chowmahalla Palace, said there is no danger to the structure by any stretch of the imagination. "It is a little window that fallen. We have been attempting to get the entire structure fixed however because of the COVID pandemic, we proved unable. When the blustery season is finished, we will take up the fixes,"
